This post is for Uncle Chad- See the last picture

Enjoying a beautiful day outside!
Cole was scraping his egg on the cement so I thought he might like some chalk but all he wanted to do with the chalk was eat it.
If you can believe this, Cole threw his cup off the highchair and this is how it landed!  Pretty sure we couldn't do that again if we tried.
If he could say it, I believe the caption for this picture is, "Hi Yah!"
"I like the ride Dad, but can you quit making it bounce?"
This mohawk is for you Uncle Chad!  He wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a good picture of it. =)

NOT Ready for this!

After asking the doctor on March 1st for information on how to transition Cole into his own bed, we finally decided to try it last night.  We knew it was going to be hard but had no idea what we were in for.  There are definitely some lasting effects; here are pictures of the damage done by Cole the Destroyer.  Long story short, he cried a total of 3 1/2 hours, puked all over, took off his pajamas, and turned his crib into wood shavings.  We cleaned the paint chips off his face and brought him back to bed with us at 6am.

Here you can see the inside of the top rail.  It used to be solid brown.
Another look at the battle scars.
And a close up.  The crib was white until we painted it brown.  Now you can see the brown, white, AND wood underneath.

To end on a happy note...
These were the first and last pictures on the camera last night.  Danny and I enjoyed comparing them and noting how much he has changed.  The first picture was taken on November 3, 2009 so there is 4 1/2 months in between.

It was time!

Cole's first hair cut!
BEFORE

DURING
Cole was trying to help.

"I think my mom needs the comb but I won't let her have it."

AFTER

"Am I handsome or what?"

*Don't let these pictures fool you.  This process was NOT all smiles and certainly not easy considering Cole is a wiggle worm!  And....he looks so grown up now; I think I'd like to undo that cut!

Ornery Little Buddy

The official transition toy and blanket.

Cole and I were on the front porch listening to the rain and when we came in for a brief moment I set him down in the middle of the living room floor.  This is what I came back to...he crawled over to the diaper basket and quickly made a mess!

He was enjoying it so much I let him play for a while.

Such a ham.  =)

"Why do you touch the strings over there Daddy?"

Handsome fellers!

"Cheese!"
